Description:
This artwork shows the portrait of a new digital character I have created for an upcoming animation.
I decided for a black and white color style to accentuate the eyes.
The idea was to develop a photorealistic face that feels alive.
The mesh was created in 3dsmax and further detailed in zbrush.
All textures are painted by hand in zbrush without any use of projected photographs.
The mesh and texures (4-8k resolutions) are designed to allow highresolution closeups.
The image was rendered in 3dsmax using finalrender.

Description:
The piece "ancient ruins" shows an old broken and weathered bow which was carved out of a rock.
The design is slightly based on roman architecture.
I tried to create a mood of both desolation and hope.
The bow was modelled in zbrush.
